As previously posted, we got the opportunity to spend fall break in Izmir, Turkey with our friends Murat, Seden, Osman, and Feyhan Balci as well as their housekeeper, Sati. We were treated like royalty, being fed, cared for, chauffeured around town, fed, fed, and fed. We got the opportunity to see the sights of Izmir (which is present-day Smyrna for you Bible buffs), relax and watch movies and tv in English, visit with the family, observe life and family in a Turkish setting, eat wonderful food, and experience Turkey's 85th Independence Day. We spent the holiday in Ephesus touring the ruins of the city and getting a first hand encounter with the Bible and places that the Apostle Paul and other heroes of the faith walked.

We will post more pictures (selected ones, not all 436). So check back later...probably after our crazy week is over and we have time for our slooooooooooow computer to upload the picture to the internet.
Pray for this week and all that we have to do with Leadership Conference and Health Week and the normal things of our jobs.
Also, pray that our Temporary Residency Permits come in this week. We are supposed to hear back tomorrow (Wednesday) and then go pick them up on Thursday morning. So your prayers are much appreciated.
