Some more official news:
We get to come home to Minnesota for the summer! We will work at Camp Lebanon during the week and then hang out on the weekends. We're super excited about this. Since we're leaving the country in August, we figure it's best to spend a couple months at home with our family and friends. Yay!

A Common Question.
A lot of people ask, "So where is Lithuania?"
Here are some pictures I copied from Mapquest that give a little perspective as to where Lithuania is.

Klaipeda, Lithuania is located where the star is on the map. I don't know what the white space is on this picture. Heaven, perhaps?
A little closer...look how close we will be to the arctic circle!
Hopefully we will be able to visit Uppsala, Sweden while we're there.

Of Travels, Praises, and Prayers
It is official.
Laura and I will be spending the next two years in Klaipeda, Lithuania. We have the opportunity and privilege to serve at LCC International University (formerly named Lithuania Christian College). I will be a Resident Director and Laura will be the Leadership and Orientations Coordinator.
I had the great opportunity to travel to LCC over spring break to meet people, do some research, and interview for the RD position. The trip was wonderful...full of great people and a great look into life at LCC.
LCC is an international university located on the Baltic Sea in Klaipeda, Lithuania. The university began in 1991 following Lithuania's regaining of independence from the former USSR. LCC was established by request of the Lithuanian Ministry of Education to help the country grow as they transitioned from Soviet occupation to independent democracy. Today, Lithuania is a member of the European Union and is continuing to grow and develop as a nation. LCC continues to grow as well and has seen scope of their mission extend well beyond the borders of Lithuania, now serving students from over 15 countries which comprise about half of the student body.
Laura and I are excited about this opportunity to serve and ask that you will join us in the excitement and in prayer. We have a lot to do before we leave in early August (we need to be there August 8).

- Me as I finish up with my Master's degree.
- For Laura as she continues to work hard at Starbucks and for the relationships she has there with her co-workers and customers.
- Us as we move back to Minnesota for the summer to spend time with our families and friends...and hopefully serving at Camp Lebanon!
- Financial support.
- God's Kingdom to be advanced and His will to be done as we embark on this new adventure in our journey.
