Greetings from the distant future!

We're here!

After a lot of travelling, we made it - and all of our stuff made it too! Thanks for the prayers, everything went smoothly. We are now getting settled into our apartment (as soon as everything is unpacked, I will post pictures).

When we got here, one of the other RDs Maija showed us around Klaipeda. We ate dinner and then walked around the city center, and then got a few groceries on the way home. We also got to meet Keith, who works at LCC, for dinner. And then Sarah, another RD, when we got back from grocery shopping.

We're pretty tired, but doing well. Tomorrow we'll go over to the school, and maybe to the beach. Orientation and training for us doesn't start until Monday, so we have a couple of days to unpack and get acquainted with the area (and to get used to the fact that it's 10pm here and it's 2pm in Minnesota).

Speaking of Minnesota, here's a couple of pictures that I took on the vanride from Vilnius to Klaipeda (a cross country trip that I slept through most of). Doesn't it look like they could've been taken in Minnesota?

More to come!

Yeah!

So glad you made it there safely! We are definitely praying for you. I found LCC on Google World last night, so I know precisely where you are!!

Praying that you get settled in and get some good rest too!

Miss you!

Jeff, Sarah, and Campbell (who has been asking to meet you - sorry we didn't name her leadership, Steve)

Hey!!! Your mom and I are reading this blog from the library. You remember the library, don't you? In Upsala? Where all roads lead to?

Praying for a great start to these two years....

It does look like your pictures could be from MN. I'm so glad you got there safely and that you have a few days to get settled. Enjoy your weekend on the town and don't be afraid to stop and take a nap. Give Lithuania a hug for me!
